Ventilation

Ventilation – what it does

The main purpose of  whole house ventilation system is to exhaust stale moist to the outside and bring fresh outdoor air into your home. The goal, to help make your home a fresh healthy place to live.
Installed properly, this type of system provides continuous exhaust from the kitchen and bathrooms and continuous fresh air to the other rooms in your home.
The objective is to provide just enough ventilation to keep the whole house fresh by preventing a build-up of excess moisture, odour and carbon dioxide.

Ventilation – the benefits

For the health and comfort of the occupants, an ENEREADY™ ventilation system is designed to operate quietly and continuously, and is built to give years of reliable service.

A properly installed and maintained ENEREADY™ ventilation system means:

  • no stuffy feeling
  • no window condensation
  • the security of closed windows
  • no lingering odours
  • quiet, comfortable controlled air
  • change for your family

Ventilation – and indoor pollutants

A well built home keeps heat in but can trap
unwanted air pollutants inside your home.
There’s 3 things you can do:

1) Source Control
Keep out air pollutants in the first place. Some building materials, finishes and furnishings release pollutants (”o -gas”) into the air. Some have a strong odour; some can trigger an allergic reaction; and most require a ventilation rate that is too high, making the home too dry.
2) Filter
Capture airborne particles with a particle filter either in a forced air heating system or a specialty cabinet such as a FYNER™ Filter, an add-on upgrade to your HRV.
3) Ventilate
Control the air change in your home.
A whole house ventilation system can control people-produced air pollutants without over-ventilating (drying out) your home.
People produce air pollutants (moisture, odour and carbon dioxide).
People’s activities produce air pollutants (moisture and odour).
